"Fair warning - this is going to be text-heavy"

Sometimes I get questions like "Why don't you upload 2-3 edits per week? It's so easy" So I wanted to share my thoughts on this.

Here's the thing - whenever I work on an edit, even when I try to make something super quickly, it just doesn't work out. Somehow (I don't even know when or how this happened - maybe subconsciously) I've drilled into my head that every edit must be as high-quality and detailed as my current editing skills allow.

That's why even when I attempted 'quick edits,' I disliked them so much that the creation process would inevitably stretch into weeks - nothing 'quick' about it anymore. At best, I could maybe do 1 edit per week (except during those rare bursts of inspiration when ideas flood in). But that's not realistic either, because I have a personal life too - with its own problems and responsibilities.

I don't know if this is a big issue or not. Some editor friends tell me "you must upload at least 2 edits weekly to 'please the algorithm' ", but I'm not sure I want that. When I first came to YouTube, I just wanted to share my work - for people to watch, appreciate, and discuss edit details in comments, while connecting with the editing community. If I strictly 'work for the algorithm,' I feel my edit quality would drop significantly.

Soo, yeah. That's my situation. Not sure what else to add - see y'all soon, and take care 💖
