Short facts. Maybe debunking some myths? I see a lot of ADHD misinformation on tictok and stuff that could do with clearing up

I really like the trend of shorts that explain something but then link to a long form video with more on the topic. That's a way to get people of doom scrolling.

I NEED some reminders of self care and QOL advice for my ADHD ASAP. (QOL= quality of life)

I would love if you took some of your metaphor vids (wall of awful, bridge of motivation) and make smaller mantra like cliff note shorts of them. Something like: "Every negative outcome can add a brick to the Wall Of Awful that we face. There is 3 common ways to get past it. You can hulk smash, but that gets you hurt, you can search for a door, but that can take forever. So its best to build ourselves handholds, tools we can use to climb over safely!"

You have SOOO much good content on this channel that even as someone who’s followed for a couple years I’d love Shorts that share a detail from a past video and link back to it. I’ve found Shorts that are highlights of past videos to be great for discovering more info on topics I follow. Sometimes I learn something new and other times I’m reminded of something I forgot.

i like shorts that explain a small concept from a long form video, and has the long form video pinned to the short. this way it’s like a small intro to the long form, and i’m more likely to watch the whole video! i prefer long form so i usually use shorts to get ideas then look for long form.

Bite-sized examples of points of performance, making a single chore easier, etc. Being newly diagnosed, thinking about changes I can make to my whole house or all the chores is a bit overwhelming (exciting, but overwhelming)! Small things I can do that will add up over time would be super helpful. Thanks!

I actually use an addon in my browser which makes me not see any shorts. For me, they provoke doom scrolling, that's why I don't like them. If on my mobile (where I don't have the addon) I accidentally watch shorts, I make sure to delete them from my history afterwards so Youtube doesn't show me more of them. So... long story short, I am in the no shorts camp!

Some channels are about humor and comedy, I really like the upbeat and bubbly way you talk about facts and your experience. I like the suggestions for short facts or debunking myths, but not in a clinical boring way. There are a lot of comedy and skit channels already. I also agree with meme-reactions, those are always decent. That would give you a really solid content spread for short-form content that your audience already likes and enjoys. Thanks for doing what you do!!!!

Small adhd lifehacks e.g stuff that you can improve in your flat like puting a bowl of vegetables not in the kitchen but next to the desk or similar stuff Edit: and for every uploaded short there should be a second upload that just says „Stop procrastinating and put down your phone“

Quick definitions of terms like Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria and Working Memory so we can bring them up quicky when talking to Hearts and fellow Brains

Funny adhd moments - its nice knowing we're all neurospicy but still human. I'll openly admit how many times I've lost my coffee cup in a day. I love how you are honest and straightforward about that stuff too. Unlike some videos that say, "these three things will make your ADHD chaos go away and you can function perfectly too." As if we need to be cured and are failing.

Personally, I already go out of my way to avoid shorts-type content in all its forms (YT shorts blocked on chrome, no YT/social media on phone, no TikTok, etc.). I just don’t think it’s conducive to good focus or a healthy relationship with technology for anyone, especially ADHD folk. That said, it is a great way to drive engagement and draw in an audience. I, like many others here, like the idea of having them just be clips from longer videos with links. That way those abstaining don’t miss out, hopefully relatively little time/energy goes into the shorts, and those who see them might end up on a longer video instead of doomscrolling.

The intro to the ADHD & Willpower video from 4 days ago would be perfect.

Combat negative and mis/disinformation by being the one we rely on to tell us the truth on how it really is. Thanks brain. 🙏

Maybe some methods of time or space organization/tips shared by viewers in comments? I have step upon some really good tips in your comment section under your videos such as two separate bins in your bathroom for morning and evening routine and even like having two toothbrushes etc so there's everything you need in the bin and you don't have to use up so much of executive functions for doing your routine, so it's also easier to keep up with everything you want to do every morning (puting on face serum etc.) but without using up your willpower as much and without having to remember cause it's already in the bin, and not making it feel that overwhelming to put yourself together in the morning or before sleep when you're tired, simple but such a good tip!

Trying out ADHD hacks, fidget toys and other things and giving a brief review and rating. Show common problems that ADHDer's have that aren't often discussed and bring awareness to them or a helpful solution. One of my favorite styles is showing a two person skit, demonstrating common misconceptions that the Neurotypical community has and showing how they learn what their ADHD friend/coworker/partner goes through. Also, helpful ways to advocate for oneself. We all need to be able to teach others about how and why our brains are different.

Our family loves snips of big points and themes, they always start the most rewarding conversations. A lot lately I haven't had the brain power or dopamine reserve to watch even 15 minute videos (even if they look/sound super interesting and I want to), but seeing a short that gives that dopamine boost to watch the full video has gotten me to watch some videos and hear things I really needed to hear on those moments. I love how inspiring your videos are and I'm excited to see what you do with shorts so we can get that inspiration even on bad brain days!

Please make some videos demanding YouTube removes shorts because they’re just a cruel timesink to anybody with adhd (and everybody else)

How to ADHD
Hello, Brains!
This question is for those of you who enjoy short-form content, such as... well... YouTube Shorts!
If How to ADHD produced more YouTube Shorts... what kind of short-form content would you like to see us do?
Have an example of a Shorts style that you'd like us to do our own variation of? Feel free to link examples to us! Or describe what you imagine it would look like!
Let us know in the comments below!
