That’s so cool easy. Divide each square in half along the diagonals. Shade in outer half of each square. The unshaded diamond shape in the center is the unshaded square!

I will make each square into 2 triangle by drawing a line. Then I shade all four outer triangle. By doing this I left with the full half square. Is It the right solution?
