We have decades of data showing what happens with easy free mana, they proceed to print a card that allows easy free mana. This cant be explained with stupidity at this point, its a deliberate financial decision. Turns out breaking the format is lucrative in the short term. MTG players are addicted to easy wins. Their laziness is the incentive structure WOTC feeds off of.

I knew vivi was going to be a problem in standard when I read it.. did they just forget to put it in the precons on accident or something?

I haven’t paid attention to standard for years, nor will I. Still love you Prof ❤

Vivi on its own isn’t a problem, Soul Cauldron abuses vivi’s ability and the fact that “dies to removal” is what the deck wants, with how easy it is to turn on in this season it is 100% the bigger issue. Take away cauldron and the deck dies immediately. Second point, cauldron would have already rotated if we kept the 2 year rotations instead of 3

Ban all cards with little guys. They've had a chokehold on every format for too long.

I mean, Vivi is a black mage, it's kind of his whole thing to be broken, especially in Magic

So glad I quit magic when UE started. The idea of a final fantasy character breaking a format is so disheartening. Only time till SpongeBob breaks it too.

Ban Vivi so other decks can be allowed to compete. I want to play standard but not if my budget deck is gonna get dumpstered by people with multiple Vivis in their deck as is what happened at w recent LGS store championship I played in.
