Houses in flood zones. Find a way to allow for adjustable utilities, and you can build safe homes almost anywhere flood/high waters pose dangers.

Ferro cement boats were quite the fad back through 60-2000s and now in world war 2 they made badges and ships out of them most the local house boats in our neighbour hood are concrete boxes with a house on top

Concrete ships are real, made with regular Portland cement.

It's not impossible to make a boat out of anything, it just requires Displacement...They added canvass screens to Sherman Tanks during WW2, this allowed 30-35 ton tanks to Float and Drive/Sail to the Beaches. The science is: If the average density (mass ÷ volume) of the boat is less than the density of water (≈1 g/cm³), it will float.

Floating concrete ships have been made for several decades; a decorative block is child's play; a fishing chair would be easy as long as it stayed on dry ground, a floating pool would depend on how deep, with length and width. It could be done using the same method as building a concrete boat.

There is floating cement made by Banagher Concrete: enclosed aeroboardesque material in rebar and concrete... aircrete would make it easier for DIY also. As others said, there are concrete ships too!!!
