Hello Gabe, I am also a father of a Down syndrome young man who is 24 and proud of him. I called them all up-Syndrome individuals because they lift our spirit and self confidence when we feel down and beat. It is very hard to explain the blessings we got from people like Gabe and my son Kidus, unconditional love, smile, hugs and so on. We are blessed to have Kidus in our life. My younger brother Alan, who has since passed, was like Gabe. He passed on the 4th of July in 2020. I miss him so much. He and I had a wonderful relationship. After I was married he was a part of everything my kids got to do. My kids loved their Uncle ‘Al.’ So to all of you wonderful Downs citizens; loving, forgiving, smiling, smart people; that wouldn’t hurt a soul……I love you all and celebrate you.
