That gravy looks wildly out of my expectations, but using curds is a good sign

As a French canadian from the province poutine comes from: Fries and cheese curds looks good, but that gravy looks like a war crime

Canadian here, let's see. From the looks of it they nailed the fries and the cheese grains, but the sauce, how's it taste?

They definitely used a different kind of gravy. The kind of gravy used commonly in Canada is slightly more orange and clear, so yes it’s poutine but they used different gravy (likely mushroom gravy as the other commenters mentioned)

I’m not even Canadian and can tell that the gravy looks like it should be illegal

Looks fine to me. It has fries, cheese and gravy. The color of the gravy should be a bit more orange/brown though.

Idk, I’m a Canadian and I find the stuff to be mid, so I never have it.

I prefer beef gravy but it looks like they are using squeaky cheese which is the most important part!

Honestly as a québécois person here, it’s all good besides the crime that is the gravy. (Poutine has quite a few variations though so if it’s good just roll with it. It just won’t count as authentic poutine). How did it taste?

IF YOU ARE CANADIAN: I got this place that claims to have poutine, does this look legit or did I get scammed? Lol
