damn. yeah i haven't seen a new one of these since the blood op1 and i remembered them today and rewatched em, but wondered what happened with others. wish your stuff would be picked up more on the algorithm, genuinely some of the most creative stuff here- and a huge inspiration even though i don't even make music atm

I know that many consider your op1 videos as your bread and butter or something but to be honest i have enjoyed the essay videos like the rompler one way more, i understand that my perpesctive as a viewer is different and incomplete but please dont let this drop in views discourage you, you still are one of the music yt greats

I don't know much about YT algorithms so take my words with a grain of salt but I think you should look into splitting up your channel. The reason, I believe, that YT keeps burying your videos is that it can't determine who to send it to anymore - your videos have several non-overlapping demographics that they target. I for one am really interested in your OP-1 content, and some gear review, but not much else - and I've not seen one of your videos in my feed in a long time despite always clicking on an OP-1 video when I see it on my feed, I really like them. There's probably people who follow you for only gear review or only original music and so on, making it easy for YT to know who to recommend it to is the key to getting your videos recommended by the algo. When you release an OP-1 video that really pops off YT learns about who to recommend your next videos to. But then when you follow the OP-1 video up with something completely different YT still recommends it to the OP-1 audience because it doesn't know any better, and then what happens is you get an underperforming video and YT punishes you for it in future videos by not recommending to the OP-1 audience anymore. YT wants you to make seperate channels for their algorithm to perform better, and it will punish creators who don't. Setting up multiple channels is costly short-term but there's a reason every larger creator is forced to do this once they want to branch out their content, you need to play into the fact that you have several demographics that won't care for your entire output. I strongly believe the audience for OP-1 content is out there, there's nobody like you who does it at such a high degree of quality, the fact that there's so many people in this post alone pointing out they didn't receive it in their feed should be proof of that. I know YT is fucked but you should do all you can to work around it I feel, best of luck!

2nd time I'm posting an op-1 video to the community wall in hopes I can save it. This is the worst-performing OP-1 video I've ever done, and I think this is the nail in the coffin. Can't keep putting effort into these things if they're going to get buried like this.
