I've just reported the listing to eBay. If other members do it too, it will send a strong message. Hope you get results.

I lump this kind of crap in with scalpers. I feel like in the age of AI, companies could train their website to spot this…

7 days later and this is already up. It's a disgrace that eBay isn't taking any action

I see many did so already but I also reported it. Not sure how much committed to this eBay is really

eBay doesn’t care, they don’t get the selling fees for listings they pull. You should see all the BS we put up with in coin collecting. See eBay seller Morgan Dealer for example, all his listings are photoshopped to airbrush out scratches. We need a government that fines these fraud enabling companies or a real alternative to eBay.

This is crazy! I saw this eBay person flick it with these images and I was very sure the swirly was way too high for a Helios lens even with some kind of alteration, you’d need to get a petzval lens or some kind of crazy rehousing to get a similar petzval effect and the images looked familiar from videos I’ve seen from you, never connected it. This is awful

Reported in eBay👍😉 with next description: "He is using stolen pictures of Mathieu Stern - "Wierd Lenses" You Tube channel, without his permission and copyright agreement. The picture was obtained by different techniques, and not by the product listed..." Hopefully it will help. Even if he is from my country, I hate people doing scams like this.

Is it possible to know what he exactly stole so the report is precise? Your photos maybe?

I would like to sell one of my cameras on eBay and I’m considering adding a thumbnail from one grainydays’s video where he reviews the model. The screenshot would be fully credited. Would you consider such use ethical? I’m not a professional seller/ eBay flipper etc

Mathieu Stern
SCAM Alert: I don’t like drama, but I feel it's important to warn you. This eBay seller is using my work without permission and is also using a photo of a completely different lens to sell his Helios 44-2 lenses.
Not only is he using the results from a projector lens to falsely advertise the Helios 44-2 swirly bokeh, but he also stole my work without giving credit.
If you buy his lenses, you will not get the results shown. He is scamming buyers with overpriced junk.
Seller name: powerlens
