The Google Stadia is officially dead as of 01/18/2023 with service shut down and customers of the cloud gaming service being refunded for all purchases of hardware and games.
Originally launched in November 2019, the Stadia faced a long list of issues from pricing to a limited/slow-growing game catalog.
Towards the end of 2022, Stadia's general manager Phil Harrison admitted in a blog post that the service, “hasn't gained the traction with users that we expected” before announcing the demise of the platform.
In the last update from Google, Bluetooth support was enabled for users to connect the Stadia service to other devices following the shutdown.
