Watch the livestream for the Getty Research Institute's symposium, "Collecting Mesoamerican Art in the 20th Century: Revealing Histories of the International Art Market," happening on Friday, April 26 from 9:45 am–5pm PT. 
Part of the Pre-Hispanic Art Provenance Initiative, talks will focus on mid-20th-century practices of collecting antiquities among museums and individuals as nations of origin were taking greater measures to prevent looting and export. The speakers will address the complex and often clandestine histories behind these events as well as their ramifications for the present and future. The event will be live-streamed in English and Spanish.
