In light of how many comments defending having children, I would like to point out that before the 1970âs you couldnât have your bank account or credit card. We could always have children, and I donât think that was meant to be the key takeaway. Letâs take a second to appreciate that you have a choice now. You can even do all or none of these things! You can be parts of both the woman on the left and the one on the right. We donât need to get defensive and certainly need to stop tearing each other down.

My grandmother who died age 96 still smoking her ciggies was fabulous and created a shit ton of wealth, was very stylish, travelled the entire world, wore bikinis on the beach as my grannie, tauggt me to sew tailored high end clothing, built an architect glass home overlooking Auckland harbour, zoomed around in a souped up Mini Coup. My other grandmother travelled in a ford truck, with an older woman when she was 15- age 20, in the 1940s.She travelled on ships with the truck and 2 german shepard dogs, she visited egypt, india, mexico, peru and more. My granddad absolutely adored her. This is a stereotype post. Absolute stereotypes.

This really speaks to how far women have come . Liberation and freedom for women did not come easy by any means and we need to remember that. Especially these days when womenâs rights and freedoms are talked about as if they are an option. No man, they are not an option!! Many brave a courageous woman already paid a sacrifice for our right to choose and we as women will never go back.

Both are great! If itâs your choice! Itâs wonderful that women can SEE themselves as having OPTIONS! BE YOU!! Whether itâs a homemaker badass or entrepreneur!

There are a lot of negative comments that are more comfortable with women being codependent. Thank you for being a model that you can utilize the freedoms that you have now. You can go after your dreams and have equal clothing options and succeed financially, and more than that. Everyone that thinks she's judging, she's pointing out the strength women are gaining now.

My grandparents bought their first 20,000 hectare ranch in the late 50âs and they put it under my grandmotherâs name who was a rancher, cattlewoman and house wife. I dinât know who your grandmother was but mine was a bad ass and nobodyâs doormat.

Look up items invented/found by women. Whenever I read chauvenistic comments by men (usually how women are too stupid, feble etc to do certain jobs etc), I post this so ignorant men will begin to realize how ignorant they are đ†Lisa, you are amazing - as a woman, role model and human being. Thank you for bringing insight to those of us struggling.

I am grateful where we are as women and the all the women before us who have strived, fought and paved the way for the choices we have available to us today. This is what I take from this post. There are role models in every sphere and time. Both representations here can provide inspiration. Respect to every woman over the ages who worked with what was available to them at the time and made the best of their situation, making sacrifices along the way. Not to mention the love and care they provided families and their communities.

No amount of money can replace the joy of raising a family. Congratulations on your accomplishments. I love your podcast. Please remember to be kind to mothers who chose to raise their children.

Many women around the world are not free. Such women would even consider the woman on the left to be free - it's all about perspective.

Insane to think of my grandmother, who was a wonderful homemaker & loved her husband of nearly 50 years who loved, supported provided, and most importantly respected her was lucky to have a Husband as great as him! But itâs so crazy to think that she couldnât have lived the same independent life that I have & many other women nowadays, having our own bank accounts, our own cars in our own name, our own apartments and our own business without the consent and or co-signing of their father or husband. God bless all the women trying to make their own way and kudos to the one succeeding and inspiring us still trying to achieve big success! In todayâs current times, we see how in the US things are going in the wrong direction and we need to stand together to say no we are not going back! đȘ

My impression of this lady is that she is trying too hard to fit a certain persona and she not really true to herself. You can still be a phenomenal strong woman, who loves to bake with 6 kids. As women we can be whatever we choose. You can be a feminist and still be what society deems feminine, you don't have to be the opposite of that to be considered a feminist.

It's so damn heartbreaking to think that not even that long ago we women couldn't get our own bank accounts! đ€Ź
But it IS so damn empowering that here we are, decades later, and us ladies are now building our own frikin companies and taking names! đ But that wouldnât be possible without all the amazing women that paved the way and came before us!! Their strength is what has allowed us to be where we are today where we can make our own choices!
Yep, we've come a loooong way my homies, and the best is still yet to come! đȘ
