Maxed out progressive - no. Must-go-by progressive - yes. One time I was playing a penny machine - 30 cent bet - and the progressive max was $500. I won it at about $499.46. I kept playing because I wanted to finish off my $20 dollars I started with. Same progressive hit again at $250.04. I did a few more spins and cashed out. Nice when those things happen.

One time I was watching a Lady for at least 3 hours playing on a maxed out Dragon Link . She finally ran out of money so I hurried up and sat down. Within 3 $1.50 spins I won the maxed out major.π

It has encouraged me to play yes. But I've learned it can still be a very long time before it pays the maxed progressive. So give it a shot, but if it's not paying, get out of there!

Seems to be more difficult to win a max out major on lightning or dragon link. Sometimes it still max out for a few days and we see lots of ppls spending thousounds on it. I dont know if my feeling is right π€·π»β

I would if I knew how to spot it but definitely wouldn't chase. I do like to play the must hit by progressive games but again I won't chase or go broke trying to win it.

I do tables mainly, but many of the games I play offer progressives that never max out. Based on the fixed pay table, progressive wager, and current jackpot, there is a point that the bet becomes +EV where I could expect to make money in the long run.
