Konami has killed 90% of rogue decks in the game with the last few sets. I used to be able to show up at locals with any of the 20+ rogue decks that I play and consistently go at least x-1, now I struggle to even top with the 2 most competitive decks I own. The game has gotten extremely frustrating for rogue players lately because konsmi is effectively doing set rotation and pushing everyone to play only the latest meta decks or get bullied out of the room by them.

Finally an update:
Over the course of the last couple of weeks I’ve had the chance to get some life things out of the way which has let me clear my head a little bit. I’ve been trapped thinking about how I could make my content more engaging while retaining my passion for the game and maintaining the idea of the channel to push out different ideas. I’m not someone to buy into the doom and gloom over the TCG during a period where Maxx C like cards exist, but I’d be lying if I said the current format post JUHU was my cup of tea. I’ve seen 20+ years of this game to understand where we’re at now. Anyone who’s followed my channel also probably knows that part of my love for the game comes with creative and passionate artworks that feed into creating mystery through art. Maybe its just a me thing but the themes in JUHU just don’t do that for me.
This doesn’t mean its over but the lack of a spark right now may continue to cause delays. I still plan on making videos here and there when I see things I really like or want to show, but until then, I would like to put my free time in something else that’s calling to me right now. When I first came back to youtubing, I was hearing a lot of positive things about the game play post JUHU which was why I came back. The longer I read the room, the harder it became for me to justify pushing out videos. I don’t want this to be a “job”, I want this channel to be a space for people with common interests. For all of you who have stayed, I appreciate and thank you all.
