Both can survive organ damage that would kill even a space marine, however the custodians are harder to damage in the first place.

A custodes should be tougher than a base DG. Deathshroud terminators though, are on another level

Plague marines as they no longer have a normal physiology so what is a vital organ or not is no longer clear, also they literally have bodyparts that have no feeling or meaning. Custodes, while super-super human are still based on human physiology. Custos would win in a fight because of their skill and gear but Plagued are tougher. For the toughest thing in the universe: Orks who have no concept of death and they don’t equate damage to the body to the end of a life. You’d have to pulverize and burn them to get rid of them.

Depends on who's writing, I'm sure some book has Custodes dying to a wet blanket

Plague marine absolutely gets thrashed in a resilience battle. Deathshroud are the best bet there and I’d say it’s a close match, the Deathshroud can keep up with Mortarion but still are less resilient. So I’d say that’s a toss up siding Custodes

Yesterday I saw the Tithes episode about the female custodes, daaaamn, she made the Space Marines look like wimps. It was incredibly cool. And a Plague Marine is still a Marine, so no luck buckos

Plagues are "tougher" but would lose to the 'Stodes since they're more skilled and better equipped

i feel like Custodes are tougher overall, but there are things that DG better against than custodes.

If Thousand Sons can kick the Custodes arses, Death Guard will have no issue

Glass Half Dead
Canonically, who is tougher? (Ignore tabletop rules!)
