I think brawl gets a lot of flak from the smash community. sure it was really unbalanced and abysmal for competitive, but a lot of love went into that game and I've had a blast revisiting it

Brawl is one of the best games ever. Soundtrack was amazing, story mode while long was entertaining and fun and seeing all the characters fight together against The main bad guy. Brawl was just amazing man

Same here. Brawl might always be "the black sheep" and it's far from perfect but I still hold it close to my heart. I can still remember my first ever two mains Kirby and Sonic and my adventures through Subspace with my sister. Truly a magical time.

One of the best games ever. One of my favorite modes were subspace. Gliding with Pit, Meta Knight, and Zard was amazing too

I too started with this one and have only fond memories with it to this day. I remember one time me and my brother legitimately played and finished a 99 stock match he mained Link and I mained Ike. I remember grinding through Subspace years later on intense because I was looking for a challenge and the sense of accomplishment I got from beating Tabuu on Intense was amazing. And I remember all the great single player content it had that kept me satisfied as a poor and friendless boy who was just biding his time until he could get a Switch to play Ultimate like everyone else. Thanks a lot Brawl, happy birthday.

Same here. That game is my childhood. And competitive smash bros is my adulthood now. Much love to Nintendo

My first experience with the series, the start of my G&W maining, and became one of my greatest memories to date. Say what you want about Brawl, but it’s story mode was amazing, and the roster was mind-blowing at the time. 👍👍

OMG so much nostalgia!!! Got me into the smash series and wouldn’t be a smash fan if it didn’t exist. Subspace was awesome and had so much fun with friends playing it. It was a mess competitively but a dang fun game!

Brawl means a lot to me. It was my first Smash game, and it really got me interested in what gaming had to offer. I still remember seeing my brother playing Kirby, saying to myself, “Hey that guy seems cool, I should try him”, and bam. Still a Kirby main to this day. So happy Birthday, Brawl!

The most underrated game in the series. Definitely one of the best Smash games.

If Brawl was your first Smash game, you cannot tell me that the menu theme doesn't give you instant hits of nostalgia.

The first time I discovered Smash Bros was when I went to a department store and saw a Brawl poster, I told my brother "look at that, it's a game with mario and zelda (referring to Link), that's cool" and he just told me "nah I bet it ain't real", I was robbed of experiencing Smash Bros Brawl, luckly I hold no grudge on that, and instead find it really funny.

Same here, got it as a Christmas present in 2012 and it sent me on the path of becoming a Smash Bros. fan. So many hours I put into this game and I still got it

Even though Melee was my first Smash Bros., this is the one that holds a special place in my heart as my favorite ♡

This was actually my first Smash game, and what fun it is! I look back on it fondly and I'm glad it exists. I still remember how hype it was that Sonic and Snake joined the roster!
