About a week ago in a pretty perfect set of circumstances, sea defences near me were broken by a storm and over a meter of flood water crossed mine and my families land, up to a meter and a half in some places. Everyone, including myself are ok. Roughly half a meter managed to get in my property and unfortunately my single floor home was devastated, all my furniture, flooring and appliances are going to have to be replaced. Thankfully my parents live next door, and whilst they were also affected, I've been able to move in there temporarily. You may have heard from me sooner if it weren't for my phone being dead and unrecoverable since the week prior to the flood. I haven't been able to log into anything. That being said, we were without toilets for 2 days, electric for 6 days and we still have no gas or hot water.
Since the flood I've been hard at work with my family and friends trying to recover what we can and gutting and throwing the rest. Needless to say this has been a tough time and it's unlikely I will be committing to making videos or streaming again for up to a week I imagine as the clean up is still ongoing and will be for a while. My computers were saved which is how I'm able to get this message to you, but many other things need replacing including even our cars. The damage is almost unfathomable.
The saving grace is everyone and my pets are ok and insurance should cover some of the cost. My family and friends coming together and helping out has been so great. Always cherish your loved ones for they are the rock (or should I say buoyancy aid) in tough times. A huge thank you to my girlfriend who has been and always is nothing short of amazing.
This should explains my absence, even in the wake of the new Steel Division 2 DLC which I hope you are all enjoying. Thank you for your patience and support in these testing times. I'll be back at work bringing more awesome content as soon as I feel able.
