Nice technology, but I have driven performance EVs and there is just a lack of mechanical feeling that’s missing and makes me go back to a slower ICE car. Taking an EV to the track for me is like taking a robot dog to the dog park for a day

You will also see yourself sat with a redundant car when legacy lithium ion is replaced by solid state. Pass!

The Hyundai will be worth a couple of quid after two years unlike the others 😂

The Type R any day or the Porsche, but I really like the Type R. No EVs for me until they figure out a way to charge it in less than 5 minutes. Even the feel of a manual is never beaten, my friend just bought a new Type R and it's awesome, Porsche ofcourse is in a different league all together it's still a dream car.

Much as I like IONIQ5N... None of these are my winner. None of these excites me. Give me 981 GT4, give me 987 Spyder, or Megane RS 300 Trophy, give me TT RS plus even.

One has 650 hp, the two other cars have half. Power to weight isn’t saving them

The 'race' was 2 laps on a track with very few turns! After 5 laps on a normal track (or a twisty road), the 5N would be a spec in the mirrors of the 718 and Type R. From my own experience, the 5N tyres turned to 'chewing gum' and the brakes were 'fried'! Physics wins every time. The 5N then had to return to the pits for charging😬 When driving any EV in a spirited way, the range drops to APPALLING. Depreciation is the final nail in the coffin
