If I could go back and talk with myself as I was starting this Brand, I would say “first Mover advantage” is a myth.
Just because you figure out how to do something no one else has, does not equal success. If you put too much weight on your “uniqueness” you will fail.
If you have first mover advantage, you need to keep the pressure high and strong to maintain your first position. Inevitably someone will copy you, or figure out a better version of what you have and do twice the work you have. And there will be 10 more lined up behind him.
Hit fast and hard, and keep hitting. The moment you stop is the moment you begin losing.
