A picture of our closest main galaxy, the Andromeda Galaxy, taken with just a tripod, mirrorless camera, and lens!
This was taken in under 30 minutes and it looks great! Beginners sometimes believe that it is impossible to do astrophotography without a telescope or a star tracker, but that isn’t true. You can shoot deep-sky objects without fancy gear! Of course, large and bright targets like the Andromeda Galaxy, the Orion Nebula and a few others are best for this task, but it should keep you busy until you’re able to upgrade to a tracker 😀
If you want to learn how to get this shot with just your camera and tripod, you can join my Untracked Deep Sky Astrophotography course for 100% free. I decided to make this one free to everyone in the hopes that it helps a lot of people understand what’s possible and motivates them to get into the hobby. The course has 35 videos, 67 lessons, and you get access to all updates for life at no cost. Link: www.galactic-course.com/courses/Untracked-astropho…
