The Grecians call the person Deucalion, but the Chaldeans style him Noë (ΝΩΕ); in whose time there happened the great eruption of waters (Έλληνες μεν Δευκαλιωνα, Χαλδαιοι δε ΝΩΕ επονομαζουσιν, εφ’ ού τον μεγαν κατακλυσμον συνεβη γενεσθαι.
