Matchfixing is almost as old as sports itself

I recently started getting those (obviously AI) Kalshi ads. The idea of gambling on public opinion is crazy to me. Especially when the internet can easily sway people’s opinions. These companies are just collecting your data and money.

I can’t wait to determine the outcome of the SuperBowl by punting my life’s earnings onto one team. This is how sports were meant to be played 😎

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I’m starting to think gambling should be illegal. I don’t care as much about people doing it privately with friends, but it’s just everywhere now and it’s not good for society. I used to think we should let people do what they want, for the most part, but I think the negative effects on society just aren’t worth it.

GEN
The more riding on an event, the more incentive to rig it...
And as you might have heard, this was the first thing I see this morning.
Details are still being released by the minute, but this especially hit home since Chauncey Billups was the head coach of my hometown team (Blazers)
I've made two videos already on the topic of gambling and I just finishing scripting the third one.
We’re entering the stage where bettors don’t just predict outcomes.
They INTERFERE to make them happen.
Part 3 will be on prediction markets (Kalshi, Polymarket) and how gambling is now directly influencing future outcomes not just in sports, but in politics and beyond.
Coming out later next month. It's going to be a banger!
