I caught myself getting bored when I saw yesterday’s dive plan…the same sites again. Classic novelty-seeking brain. I almost checked out before I even got in the water.
Then I remembered: we’re going to the Blue Hole. One of the most jaw-dropping dive sites on the planet. A place people travel across the world to see once… and I’m treating it like a rerun.
The truth is, every dive is different: new current, new visibility, new water temp, new guide, new buddy… and a new version of me. My mood changes. My energy changes. The ocean changes. That creates a totally new experience every time.
I’m learning the beauty of staying with one place, one town, one practice — and seeing it with fresh eyes instead of chasing constant stimulation.
Reflection for my ADHD / neurodivergent crew: Where in your life are you bored because it’s “the same”… and what might shift if you looked at it with new eyes today? Drop a comment with your answer
