Vindsvept, fantasy music

Hello, I'm not going to sugarcoat this. This is a not-so sneaky attempt to entice you into joining either my Patreon or Channel membership. This is the kind of things I usually post on there, a WIP-clip and some nonsensical ramblings to go along with it. Anyway, here's the post, and I'll see you all on Sunday with a new tune! ♡

I have officially moved all of my stuff into the new studio! It took three days and most of those days were cable management, but I've seen tidier rats nests. I still have lots of organizing to do, but I can work in here, and it's looking pretty good if I'm honest.

Today's clip is a little thing I wrote last night, it's halfway between sketch and mixed. When I write something with lots of effects in mind, I tend just to add them straight away. The result of this is that I don't stop when I'm supposed to, and I add saturation, compression and EQ as well just to bring it up to where it sounds the way I want it to. This especially becomes a problem when I do found sounds percussion that needs a lot of love to sound uniform. It's fun because I don't have to listen to everything sounding dull until it's mixed, but it is taxing on the system and makes working a bit more difficult.

I used to have this V on my wall that was quite large, it broke into many, many pieces when we moved so It's just been in a pile in the garage for the longest time. I broke it apart completely and reassembled it into this smaller one that I can hang on the wall. The old one was made with hot glue which can be a bit gooey and flimsy, I did this one with wood glue so it's much more solid.

Once I've sorted out the lighting and done a bit of organizing, I'll do a little studio tour and maybe show some instruments that you've heard but probably never seen.

Thank you very much for your continued support ♡

You know what? I've been meaning to for way too long, but procrastination. This is a good reminder for me.
