Clearsight never put Darkstalker to sleep so he still killed the queen and became king. Clearsight came along. Much later in life she's tired of Darkstalkers bloodthirsty rule and decides something has to change. So she quietly starts planning how to get rid of him with Fathom. One day he interrogates her about her necklace and she admits it was a gift from Listener, period. But really she was in on the plan, traveling Pyhiria looking for ways to take him out. In the end she still uses a bracelet, when she returns home she waits for the panic to set in. Then when they proclaim him missing, she steps in as the new queen.
