If it’s more than 50% doing it then something is wrong. That’s why you start moving some of your eggs into other baskets to be safe.

My only problem with YouTube is the ads. I'm not talking about the stuff that shows up in videos, though that's bad too YouTube seems to think I'm at just the right age that all I want to do is talk to AI chatbots I mean the stuff on the home page. Just the other day I saw an AI generated image of... well, lets just say it was a girl and a dog

Youtube has moved away from trying to get content creators and making it easier for them to do things and is in it for the ads.

I think after groceries, mortgage, and bills, I'm lucky to be able to afford gas or a streaming service. I wish I could afford to pay the >50 youtubers I watch a few $ each, but I can't. So whatever works for you.

Well near as I can tell, Apple sends me a receipt or two for paying my Youtube memberships. The more that process the payment the more handling fees or whatever, and the less left over for the creator. The legality of Apple or whoever going after Patreon payments because of access through the Apple app store was ruled on as illegal, I think. But what is actually going on idk.
