Finally finished Assassin's Creed Shadows so here's my verdict:
It's better than Valhalla by far, with an actually engaging story that is dead set on Feudal Japan rather than jump between that era and present day.
Yasuke is a phenomenal character, who not only proves to be a great Samurai, but also a character I've grown to favourite and somewhat gives us an idea of what the real Yasuke was like. ( Historically there isn't any record of him in battle, however being a retainer to Lord Nobunaga Oda is considered an honor and a rank of Samurai. )
Naoe is also a well made character, which often reminds me of the movie, Lady Snowblood. Her ties to the Assassins and obviously being a Shinobi makes her fit the role like a glove.
Overall story is very engaging, and the way both characters have different gameplay styles are handled better than one may think. The side content could've been better, but that's forgiveable.
The game doesn't feel as much of a slog as Valhalla, nor was it overcomplicating the plot with un-needed clutter. I strongly recommend this game as not only does it give something for the more action based game lovers, but the stealth based too.

An overall 9/10 Kyle Approved.
