Bro, I remember when Apple and Cinnamon beefed. I mean, in the lore, Apple became chill at the end and stopped being a hater, but he was still APPLE. He wasn't a goober like this.

It was because the old mascots were deemed (in very very recent years)too creepy and the Cinnamon character is also apparently racist now. So because of iPad kids and Twitter we now have what was considered an “improvement” when all they did was make it look like a Great Value Knockoff
