Cute! Much improved! (The sweater, I think, is still overwhelming you.)

Yes. Proprtions are crucial. Same idea applied for historical fashion like what's often called Victorian fashion. I learned from historical fashion channels and people who wear corsets that those corsets were not to tighten one's hip but to support the breasts (as bras wasn't a thing back then) and the back (said to help a lot for pregnant women). The hourglass silhouette was mainly achieved by adding padding to the hips or behind and the crinoline that kept the large skirt fan out. My mom is short, like less than 150cm, but she looks great even in her 50s with shorter or tucked-in tops even with calf length skirts. She does have a petite build, though.

Posture also matters. The before and after picture have a different posture, and the second one is usually more flattering on photos regardless of the outfit. I think you look good on the first one too.

I feel like because a lot of people from my generation like this baggy kind of clothing I find the one on the left cuter than the right one :0

I think both looks are great if the top didn't have the turtleneck (unless it's freezing cold in which case i would be covering the legs aswell.)

Definitely agree but what about those of us that don't have a defined waist?

I can't wear heels of any kind. Flate feet and 3 screws in my ankle. I look like I have no neck whatsoever, with any type of bulky stuff around my neck ! So those kind of sweaters and shirts are out! So are those crowls, scarves and anything else ! And I'm too old for short skirts and revealing shirts !LOL I think as a women turning 68 years old ,I'm aging gracefully. And my clothes are accordingly designed to fit me and my age . I've learned a lot about clothes and what to look for from watching you. Some of your ideas have been helpful. I prefer modest well cut clothes .

Hi dear. I'm a Muslim lady whereby headscarf is always part of the attire. So many of the tips which involves neckline doesn't apply. Can you do a series which can use a little bit of scarf ?

Great upgrade! In the first one you look like a teenage schoolgirl, in the second one, you are the cool girl.

Hello I see difference and it works in your case but I am not as slim as you are and wearing short skirts or short top just emphasize my fat legs, wide hips etc.

Petite Dressing
Style isn’t about height—it’s about strategy. I'm 5'2"- Same sweater with the same skirt; let's break down why it doesn't work BEFORE and why it works AFTER.
❌ Don't wear a hip length sweater with a short skirt untucked paired with ankle booties
❌ Even though a short skirt can elongate your legs, it doesn't work the best with black ankle booties alone
✅ Do add black tights to eliminate the gap between your skirt and boots
✅ Do add a belt to emphasize your waist
