WOW kudos, Patrick this picture is amazing !!!!! :) Anyways, when I hear "New Orleans" first thing that comes into my mind are the lyrics of one of my favorite songs of all time, "Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)" by the band Concrete Blonde (a song inspired by "Interview with the Vampire" the terrific novel by Anne Rice) !! Here they are : "I got the ways and means to New Orleans i'm going down by the river where it's warm and green I'm gonna have a drink and walk around I got a lot to think about, oh yeah" Anyway have a great and well deserved vacation, man !!! Take care, and see you soooon ;)

Only went before Katrina a long time ago but at the time it just seemed like a very unique place that had an interesting heritage.

My favorite thing about growing up 2 hours outside of New Orleans is my dad would make me carry one of his handguns on my person because of all the crime when we would come to visit, at age 16! 😂

I've never been to New Orleans, but if I was to pick my favorite thing to see while there, something sight-unseen, it would definitely be the cemeteries. People in NOLA have to be buried above ground due to the high ground water from being above sea level.

I'm live about 30 mins from the city, if you can go eat at Criollo for breakfast or brunch its in Hotel Monteleone.

I live just north of nola. Gotta get Cafe Dumonde, a central grocery muffaletta, and if it's cold outside, some gumbo to warm you up. Have a blast!

Favorite thing about New Orleans is how they treat their homeless, and particularly buskers aka street musicians. Tip a busker when you're out there!

Make sure you stop by at Cochon for a sandwich while you're in NOLA! It's a 5 minute walk from the World War 2 museum.

Go to Bacchanal. It’s Bywater. Sunday, catch a second line. Swing by Cochon. Charbroiled Oysters at Felix’s. Wrap up at Old Absinthe House by way of Clover Grill.

VETTED
Vetters,
I'm taking a mini vacation. I am headed to New Orleans for a few days. No worries though because videos will still flow like the salmon of Capistrano.
Tell me your favorite thing about New Orleans.
Peace
