We probably have the same question. - Which is the safest - Least risk of scarring - How long it lasts/required maintenance It's easy to find a derm. But finding one experienced in skin with more melanin, not so much. Feeling safe in the decision and provider you choose.

Recovery time? How should you treat your skin while it’s peeling? Do you need to avoid the sun/outdoors during the healing process? Should you ever do a peel by yourself at home? Great topic, I tried TCA at home when I was younger, but I didn’t see any effects, probably because I did it wrong. Thank you!!

I don’t have any questions just sharing a bit of my experience I did two chemical peels this year and I really really like my results. My dermatologist made it crystal clear to use a mineral sunscreen instead of a chemical sunscreen, so I used the Cotz tinted mineral sunscreen(no white cast on my dark skin❤️). The more hydrated you are, the faster the peeling process will go by. Let it peel on its own, don’t force the peel. It’ll make things much worse. Protect the new skin and give your skin time to heal before going back into your skincare routine, especially if you use any actives. My doctor gave me the okay to resume my skincare after day 7.

I live in South Korea so I'm very interested in getting a chemical peel but also a bit scared. So my questions are - Safest for dark skin? - Questions to ask a service provider not used to dealing with my skin tone? - Red flags to look out for. Or if it's too risky: the most effective at home chemical peel regimen with over the counter products. Frequency, things to be cautious about, things that boost the effectiveness of the peel, realistic timeline for good results, consistency etc.

Yay! I have soooo many questions lol. I’ll fire away and hopefully at least a few will be answered. Please talk about the cosmelan peel. I’ve tried the derma peel 3 times now and although it helped I didn’t see the results I was looking for so I’m now looking into the cosmelan one even though the price tag is giving me pause. But the results look amazing. And do I really need to go into the clinic for it to be applied? Because some places offer to show you how to do it virtually but you apply it on yourself. Also what peels need prep, who needs to prep before a peel, after care post peel, how long do you wait before and after certain procedures before you can do a peel. Ie: if your incorporating micro needling, lasers, hydra facials into your routine, what’s the timing/schedule you should have. Do I wait 2 weeks before doing micro needling post peel is one example. Also when can I stop/start using certain products pre and post peel…ie: vitamin c, retinol, toners with acids. Thank you in advance for what you are able to answer!

HEALING - How to ease back into your skincare as your recovery and what's the best layering or products to build up. I. E is best to just do moisturize and sunscreen for some weak before adding serums to your routine again.

Just 2 honestly and they might be kind of the same 😅 1. Is there a time of year or a specific season that's ideal for chemical peels? 2. Can living in a hot and humid area affect your healing process after the treatment

Q: What chemical peels are best for maturing skin? I’ve used mandelic acid peels for years and would love to know if I should continue on with them into my 40s.. starting next year! They’re doing a good job I believe. Thanks for this video! 🖤

Hello! Thank so much for doing this! Do chemical peels have any benefits for anti-aging? How high is the risk of sunburn afterwards? Thank again for all your hard work for our community.

Is Vi peel the best for oily acne prone skin? Can you do a chemical peel with active acne? I peeled for 16 days with a Jessner peel and saw no difference in my texture and my face got darker even after my self isolation 😩

How do you prevent hyperpigmentation from returning after completing chemical peel series?

For those of us not in the US with specific access to dermatologists.. are there any peels safe to do at home?
2 years ago | 5
Any at home peels that would work without having to go to the dermatologist? I use The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution but haven't seen much change in my skin and I'm not familiar with any other brand. I have hyperpigmentation due to ingrown hairs which makes it challenging

How often is too often ? 🤔 Who shouldn’t get a chemical peel ? What products should we stay away from pre & post a peel ? Is there a peel that fades hyperpigmentation

What’s the advantage of a chemical peel over consistent use of tretinoin and at home AHAs? Especially for darker skin if there’s a risk if scarring. Can chemical peels fix textured skin? Like rolling and ice pick scars
