It's definitely not for me, but I'm looking forward to the videos you've got coming on it. I don't know if it's a specific subject you've covered in past vids, but I'm curious what your perspective is on continuations/ revivals. When continuing something, the obvious implication is that you want it to be like the thing you're continuing it from. For me, shows like Star Trek Continues on youtube are what I prefer. Every attempt was made to replicate/ recreate the storytelling, tone, visuals, sound effects, scoring, and portrayals of the original characters. The show feels like an organic extension of the original cast's series. The new Ghostbusters movies are examples of continuations that don't do anything for me. I loved the original two Ghostbusters movies and the 80s cartoon, but Afterlife and Frozen Empire's storytelling and tone just don't work for me. As comics fans, we're used to complete tonal changes in storytelling &/or visuals in books when writers, artists, or entire teams on a book switch out. It can have many different impacts on a book. It can completely kill the momentum a book had going, it can effectively purge the audience a book had which can sometimes lead to cultivating an entirely new audience, it can lead to losing some readership while gaining new readers and having a good mix of long time readers and fresh eyes. With TV shows and movies, it's much trickier given all the cost that goes into making them. You have actors who can age out of roles or pass away or even become bitterly estranged. Ghostbusters is a good example of the latter two, what with Bill Murray's infamous behavior with the Ghostbusters franchise and Harold Ramis and director Ivan Reitman's passings. IMO, today's continuations/ revivals seem mostly to only want the credibility their association with whatever they're continuing from buys them, and don't seem to prioritize replicating the tone of the original storytelling or any of the other elements that were the makeup of what they're continuing. On top of your personal perspective, which I've come to appreciate, you're also a content creator and that gives you a much deeper insider perspective on the creative process than I've got as an outside appreciator and general viewer. I understand that you're busy making/ editing/ refining content, and I recognize that taking time to respond to a comment/ question like this is a luxury of time. If you're able to afford the time to reply, I greatly appreciate it.
