Incoming photo dump! Here are my first layouts in the limited Tokyo edition insert. These are works in progress, and I have since added to the pages.
The first three pages are multi-media, using ink, stickers, and washi tape, allowing the white paper to show through.
The remaining pages are collaged, using assorted print media. I pasted cut out images and elements from flyers, in combination with scrapbooking supplies to create the layouts.
I liked the idea of pre-decorating my pages so that I don’t have to carry all my supplies with me when I travel. The layouts are ready to go, and I can just start writing.
I was inspired by the old YTV Canada bumpers from 1993-1994. Trigger warning for those of you who are sensitive to flashing lights or rapidly changing images.

Just like the bumpers, I was intending to paint some weird images over top of the nostalgic layouts, but I think these are really nice as is.
