CaliKim29 Garden & Home DIY

Be honest...My video descriptions- do you ever read them? Why or why not in the comments - take the poll below.

@misscandicern

I read them because I follow multiple gardeners on youtube & when I'm searching for something, I read video descriptions so I know if it's relevant. I also read them even when not searching, because sometimes I wanna see something new on an old topic or new altogether.

@GreenLove1

I was watching a video where a Product Manager for YouTube was saying that the Video description was helpful to give the algorithm any additional needed context for your video to help it find the right audience. So that how I think about it for my channel. It's also useful, of course, for links and products that you reference in your video.

Only when I am looking for something you said you would link below or when I’m looking for a product. I never really thought about it outside of those two reasons. I also like reading the comments people write. I learn a lot through other viewers.

OBTW, making a strawberry tower. A friend sent me some bare root everbearing plants, no where to put them, so I am doing a tower with milk crates. Doing it a little different than you, it's all good. Stay Well !!!!

I look to see what the seed sales are I as don't remember from the video. I know I could just go to the website and look there but I usually think about sales after watching a video. I don't read all the information though.

@rootelation

No one needs those descriptions. We either watch or don't watch based on the content of the video. I even hate writing descriptions for my own channel. Especially if it's a series or garden tour.....it's almost an insult....HI LET'S TALK ABOUT GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR RAISED BEDS......hmm, I wonder if this video will be about how to water a terracotta container.....no, not it is not, it's about the raised beds🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍

I usually take a look at the people I follow. To be honest, if I am searching youtube for something, I go to the video. I may go to the description if I find what I am looking for.

As long as your purdy face is in it, we don't need no stinkin titles :) But, seriously, I didn't realize so many people DIDN'T read titles.
