As things stand currently, it is still way too transparent and spottable when dealing with AI. But if and once we get to the point where AI becomes so convincing that you can't tell, then I might be open to at least dabbling with it a bit. I haven't had a partner for over 20 years at this point, so what's there to lose?

I can see why some people lie about dating someone with a chatbot being a the lover. 1. Dating take nerves. Its not a fantasy like in the stories. It requires works to maintain. 2. Chatbot give answer you want hear, not the one you need to hear. This leads to the development of a parasocial relationship with the program itself where it is either viewed as a lover, god, or a worshiper.

If it was strong AI & not the garbage AI we have now, then sure. Why not? Who cares? Those who would say no to this should ask themselves if they would still date their current partner if it turned out that their brains were actually digital. Because strong AI could do that. The weak AI we have now is only good for entertainment, fantasy, illusion, escapism, etc.

just for censorship concern: please pay attention did you actually write date? has anyone else noticed this, I think it's some weird gaslighting censorship, made to destroy the authority of the speaker. I have taken to writing comments elsewhere then copying and pasting them. this gave me something to compare to see if it was being changed. I am politically outspoken so censorship is common for me but try to notice if it's going on for you depending on what you are talking about.
