I feel like so many of the authors intentions within music get lost in interpretation like the many iterations of Jacques Brel's ne me quitte pas; I am so very glad that I found you, years ago now through radiohead. More than you can know; I have at times relied on you music to study when my vices were at my throat. Lately.. I have been on an endless fixation of a specific song: Jim Croce's Time in a bottle. I immediately searched for a piano cover, for which there are many (some in fact, quite good), but none that seem to quite capture the underlying existential helplessness that time itself brings to us within the original 1973 music; something that terrifies me, driving my ambitions forward, you see. You know, I immediately thought: what would Josh Cohen's interpretation of this be? I wanted to request this song.. But even if you had no interest in this song, I wanted to share my love of your music with you and let you know that I am already very grateful for you sharing your talent and this journey of yours with fools like me.
