Sandy wrote this song one night when he was travelling from Montreal to Guelph Ontario, crossing over at the New Brunswick Quebec border to meet his wife. He crossed over the border a few times, and as he headed back west, he realized time had lost track of him and he had a free hour that time didn’t know about. Stealing Time suggests Prometheus stole the wrong thing from the gods and pays homage to Pete Seeger’s “Talking Blues”. The song builds a musical clock to tell the story of one stolen hour.
