YouTube is your business, you owe no one any explanation for picking up sponsors to pay your bills. I wish you nothing but the best for your hard work and dedication to your channel. Another thing, you are so smart not to want to get into debt for a vehicle. Stay as much out of debt as you possibly can.

Thank you for being so transparent with your audience it's so refreshing to see and I think many of us are happy to help support a fellow momma especially if it means enjoying more content and the ads are featuring products we may already use or would actually find useful. Also just picked up your book on kindle and can't wait to start it! Congrats on the sponsors and your book launch!

Hey, we are all just doing what we can to survive in late-stage capitalism and so long as you truly stand behind what you are advertising, I don’t see an issue. Sending love ❤

Hi dear friends! I wanted to share some insight into the next few videos on my channel - because I have been accepting more sponsors than I normally do, and do NOT wish for my channel or videos to come off as "I'm just here to sell you things."
Over the summer, our already old car began to break down (no air conditioning, issues with the engine, etc). Fixing what's wrong with it would cost more than we spent on the car. Aside from starting to break down, it's also just not quite big enough for our family, especially if we travel to see my family who are all out of state, and we've been needing an upgrade for a while! However, I don't believe in going into debt for a new car. We do always purchase used, but even then, anything new enough to be reliable and suit our family costs... quite a lot. As you all probably know!
SO... for the month of September at *least*, I will be posting FOUR videos, and each will have a sponsor. I have been working hard planning content I think you all will love, and I am SO excited to up my videos for a little while (to be honest, if I can keep it up I'd love to continue making more videos each month!)
I want to make it SO clear that I never, ever accept sponsors I wouldn't utilize outside of sponsorships, and I feel lucky that three of the four are companies I already use! (and the other one is a company I've actually been eyeing for almost a year now, but their product is on the more expensive side.) I understand if it feels like my channel is getting a bit ad-heavy.
I am also still figuring out how to gracefully integrate my book here and there in my videos, and got (very valid!) feedback on my last video that with the book and then the ad, it felt like way too much. Which I agree with! But, most people don't watch to the end of my videos, and most sponsors require I put an integration within the first 0-33% or first 5 minutes of a video. So... ya know. I'm trying to work it out <3
My hope is that eventually, I will not have to accept sponsors when my views get to a place where just adsense (the ads YouTube plays over my videos) is enough. I had a brief taste of what that could be like last year after a video went viral, but since then my views have leveled out and while we are finally at a place where we can survive comfortably, we have had to fix a few things around the house (the septic system being a big one if y'all remember!) and have had some personal medical and dental issues, so our savings just isn't there yet!
ANYWAY. This is a lot of technical behind-the-scenes talk, but I wanted to give you all a little insight into why I've been accepting more sponsors lately, and why it may feel like there are more than usual -- but hopefully you all enjoy the extra videos in September and it will be worth your while <3
As always, I hope you are all feeling safe and loved wherever you are in the world.
With Love,
Kristina
