How incredible of you to offer members of your community the chance to apply. I’ve never seen a job listing on YouTube before. Very very neat.

Thank you for providing this opportunity to a person who possesses passion for the art of storytelling and writing. As many transition to the use of AI, I both admire and deeply respect your decision to keep humanity, compassion and soul within your stories. Especially considering the fragile nature of many of the topics you cover. Your channel has risen to not just the elite status, but the TRUSTED status for all the aforementioned reasons. Much love and respect to the entire EWU team and their dedication to the highest standards of integrity.

I was going to apply. I've written several true crime novels under a different pen name...in Canada, 😭 sounds like such a dream job. Thanks for supporting real writers and not AI

As somebody who is fascinated by true crime I really enjoy this channel. Keeping the human element to the storytelling is a huge factor in that. AI has no place in storytelling.

THANK YOU FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY! I'm applying. This is so exciting. I have a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a 70-page long published thesis on sexual assault. I'D LOVE TO DO THIS.

@PickleMansLawyer

Thank you guys for not using AI. You’re my favorite true crime channel and I’ve stopped watching many that went down that route.

For the people being harshly critical about the applicant needing to be United States based, I want you to understand that there are many factors that could cause the channel [or any US based business] to face significant financial loss due to different countries laws and policies regarding independent contractors. I am certain that if the risks didn't outweigh the gains, they would have opened it globally. Please don't take it personally and understand that they are a business that provides valuable information to all of us, GLOBALLY. At the end of the day, they have to look out for their best interest as a business. Also, they don't owe anyone an explanation and therefore wouldn't need to spend time putting in a disclaimer as to why they asked for the applicant to be based in the United States. I know these things from being a former business owner and having employees. I am very excited about this potential opportunity. I have been a fan of this channel for the last few years. Thank you, EWU crew, for all you do!!

at first I was like, "I'm proficient enough, sure, but I'm not based in the US :(" but then I started thinking about how depressed I'd become over writing about some of the more horrific cases this channel covers; probably a blessing in disguise for me haha all the best though, EWU!
