YPC signs with DG: what a gauntlet throw, to put his hat in with the likes of John Williams, Howard Shore and Joe Hisaishi, all of whom recently signed with DG to release concert recordings. Jesus...YPC is 'graduating' from one fanbase into another. Western classical music is huge in China (ironically a major market that's keeping the art alive. Just look at how many young Chinese-heritage artists were competing in Chopin piano competitions etc and signing with classical labels worldwide, no matter their citizenship), and YPC just achieved something that artists TWICE his age still strive for (let me know when they give Alan Silvestri a chance to sign with them).
