Are you from MOROCCO?

The Suite Life on Deck has several episodes set in different countries. In my retrospective, I’m having consultants from every location watch the episodes with me on a zoom call and weigh in on the cultural representation. Portions of the calls will be included in the video. I’ve recorded/scheduled calls with people from every place the show visits except for Morocco.

If you’re native to Morocco, English-speaking, and would like to participate, please eMail me at ContactKeyanCarlile@gmail.com. I’ll respond on a first-come first-serve basis.

This post previously included Argentina, Belgium, Monaco, France and Greece. I've found representatives for each.

I'm not native to any of those places, but it's cool that you're doing that, especially since you touched on the treatment of various cultures in the original Suite Life

@RealogOnlyBrodie

I like how in the suite life movie the cruise ship all of a sudden looks real and none of the sets line up with the ones on the show 😭

@seanpruitt6801

The suite life on deck cruise ship looks like something you’d see in Wii resorts.

We should talk about the Suite Life universe weird latinoamerican fictional countries, or just odd version of Latam, in the OG show it was with Esteban's country and in the sequel show is with the princess episode.

I'm from the south of France but I've never watched The Suite Life once in my life. But if you need someone from France I can eventually try to do it. To be honest knowing those sitcoms I'm doubtful it will go beyond the usual cliches but I'm willing to be surprised.

Awesome that you're getting people from these countries to weigh in. I hope the Suite Life on Deck video comes out soon, I've been checking for it like every day

I am not from any of these places but in the episode were the mom and dad visit the ship and do a musical on rollerskates that’s a reference to the dad playing Greaseball in the original Broadway production of Startlight Express which is performed on rollerskates.

I'm from the US unfortunately but I can't wait for this vid! I grew up on 'on deck' rather than suite life so this one's gonna hit harder for me

I am so eagerly waiting I've seen the other two like 4 times each or something

I am native to Greece so I can’t wait to see the video when it comes out!

I'm from Greece and I was born in Athens but unfortunately (for this video) I moved, it was becoming unbearable. Even 8 year olds started having gangs and destroying public property but I have to say, I don't remember The Suite Life having an episode in Greece

I'm probably the biggest fan of the Suite Life Saga I know and rewatched both shows at least seven times. And I never put it together that Zack and Cody are implied to be second-gen polyamorists and the lack of consistency between the girls they date is because of episodic writing with Zack dating around a lot and Cody going from Jessica and Janice to Barbara all of a sudden? And then there's A Tale of Two Houses where Zack and Barbara mistakenly kiss and we never see Cody react to it or Barbara grossed out by it! If the twins are polyamorists, then Maya and Bailey don't seem to accept that! Anyway, SLOD is the only sitcom I can find where characters travel the world every episode, for kids or adults. That alone should make this show unforgettable!

I'm from Canada, but i like geography. Do they ever specify which port they dock at in France? Paris is quite inland on the northern side of the country, so it'd make the most sense that they're around Normandy, Calais, or one of the other costal areas in Northern France, then get transportation to Paris... but the picture you posted looks a lot more tropical than I've seen from pictures/shows in Northern France. It looks a lot more like something I'd expect to see in Marseille or another Mediterranean port.

I’m so ready for this retro…

@UleEver

Wasn't there an episode where they sail to a country that's actually landlocked in real life? I feel like I read about that. But I can't remember anymore

@thunderguyer

I will say, the main harbor of Athens, Piraeus, is FAR away from the Acropolis. In fact, the Acropolis, while visible from a big chunk of Athens, is not visible through any harbor

This is off topic but can you please make a Video on the rise and fall of My Babysitter’s A Vampire ? It’s an ICONIC show and is universally loved. The show ended abruptly and fans would love a breakdown ❤
