Which, if any, version of Into the Pit is ACTUALLY canon to the game's continuity?
(This doesn't include frights fiction, arcade theory, etc. Which version literally happens and can be inserted into the timeline?)

If any of these Pit stories is canon, that means time travel exists in the fnaf universe, and that opens a massive can of worms that I don't think anyone even wants to think about

Honestly i feel like if one is canon it has to be return to the pit. It's the most aligned with the info we currently have about the games (though of course fnaf at this point is a guessing game and we could very well have stuff wrong)

All I know is that in my heart, yellow rabbit is mpregborn afton.

@clownfriend.

I really like the idea of the interactive novel being in game continuity because only one of the outcomes is "cannon." RyeToast was saying how all the goofiness in it could have been Pit Agony hallucinations and I buy that

At this point I'm expecting Dr. Doofenshmirtz to make a "ItsnowcannontotheFNAFgametimeline-inator" with how mixed up things seem to be 😂

Oswald dies the first time he falls in the pit due to the Agony (like how Andrew killed Phineas by touching him). Everything experienced in every version of Into the Pit is the same type of memory loop we see Millie go through in the Stitchwraith Stingers. The only true ending is Oswald gets a Happiest Day by defeating the yellow rabbit and saving his dad (in memory form)

A Week Before is an official prequel to the first game, so I just assume Return to the Pit is part of the game's continuity as well.

Return to the Pit is the clear winner for me. If 6 dead kids is the In Universe Fiction answer, then 5 dead kids plus Oswald would explain the difference.

Either return to the Pit or None. The Game was only meant as a gift to the Fandom. It was just to celebrate how far the Games have come. And the Book... isn't. Just no. I can get used to Tales if it's the case. But not frights.

I think that Return to the pit is the version that's in the game continuity but I think lore details from other versions (like the Freddy mask for example) can still be used to theorize.

Scott likes into the pit too much, thats why theres 3 diffrent tellings of the story. The one "canon" for me would be the interactive novel that can be used for clues, just like phone guys book. But unlike in phone guys book we dont know 100% which ending could be used to get those clues.

Return to the Pit. Just for the soul reason that it's in the same book series as The Week Before. If you really want to you can kinda fudge VIP not being in continuity because its issue #0 of the series, but Return to the Pit comes directly after a definitely cannon book and presumably directly before an definitely cannon book with Cassie headlining it. It would be incredibly infuriating if it just happened to be an exception.

I have a theory that Michael’s actual last name is Schmidt and not Afton. This is mostly going off of the immortal and the restless since people think it is a parallel to the afton family. In the show vlad is not married to Clara yet so the baby would probably have Clara’s last name. Also if Mike went by a different alias in fnaf 1, he probably would’ve also changed his first name like he did in fnaf 2 assuming he is Fritz Smith.

If one is, it's likely the choose your own adventure novel, as that entire line of books has been Actually Game Accurate and advertised as being in Timeline so far. However I kinda feel like Into The Pit just doesn't fit with either the modern FNaF storytelling or the Para-SciFi Era from SL to UCN. Especially with how it can't decide if the Pit is Time Travel or a Hallucination and bounces back and forth between those answers.

personally RTTP makes the most sense to fit... even tho its so bad with the 5 car deaths, freddy bonnie and chica drowning Oswald while wearing floaties... and of course "i feel so bunny." RTTP is just the official book version of Jackie's Box.

@TaiSaysHello

i just feel like the version in the book series where one of the books is undisputably canon to the games would just make sense as the defacto one
