When you do like a 5-second hype thing straight into an operations planning bit that's pretty good. It makes you know tension is coming and helps build it. But when the hype train is like 30 seconds of highlights, it makes you feel like you've watched half the operation already.

From the point of view of viewer numbers, I would say a quick highlight intro does a better job of grabbing someone’s attention than a plan intro, even though starting out with a plan intro makes the most sense cinematically. Maybe you could do some sort of “explain as you go” but that sounds really hard lol

It depends. If you're going for your extremely cinematic pieces (like most recently) just a short intro is perfect. If it's a POV gameplay highlight, i prefer pre-hype

I worked In the S3 shop and love seeing how you all plan and execute your ops.

Man I know so little about Arma, I've just got to have that sweet context. Even the black hawk down film had that context.. Basically please the briefing, yes.

I don’t need highlights personally but I could see why it would be helpful attracting people who don’t follow your content already. A briefing with visuals is helpful though.

If for the highlights you mean the video starts off with highlights, maybe. Some people prefer to see what the video is going to be like in advance, some people don't want spoilers. The plan explanation could be narration overlaid on pre-op or vehicle-born insertion highlights as well. I would also suggest keeping the maps on screen as you explain the plan like you've been doing though. Some balance sounds ideal to me though 🤷

You should do rolling texted that show the name of the operation and stuff, like the movies. Maybe black it out if it is a top secret mission

I like when you do the explanation with like maps and showing what’s going on

The simple mission brief is good enough for setting the scene. Not so hot on Michael Bay intros, prefer an organic unfolding of events. The buildup of tension is half the drama anyway.

No more night ops. For fuck sake does daytime even exist in your world. 😂

Jump straight into the operation with plan at the end with highlight reels

Question for you all! When it comes to my longer form cinematic content, which opener do you most prefer?
