On a Dishwasher, what mode do you use the most frequent of these 4?

@Blurain727

Normal with hi-temp, sanitize, and heat dry. Takes around almost 3 hours

Normal + High temp. Sometimes no heat dry for plastic items.

Normal, no heated dry with the right amount and placement of detergent and the pre-heating of water is enough to clean any dish in my machine. Tho certain residues (I'm looking at you, peanut butter) won't get fully removed with this mode, so I make sure to scrap down any problematic residue prior to loading.

I also use ' Extra Rinse ' when ever its available and wish it was always there on all dishwashers and washing machines. Makes me sleep better type of deal.

Mine only has 3 modes: Normal, Heavy Duty, and 1 Hour, along with options for dry and boost. That's it. Nothing fancy, nothing auto. And I like it that way.

I use sanitize every night because my dogs' bowls go in there as well. I'm still able to set my 18" GE to auto, just with sanitize temp.

I don’t have auto on my old GE Profile so I chose Normal. I mostly use Speed wash heated dry. Sometimes I use prewash.

Heavy duty with heat dry. I still rinse before I wash. Then Open the door to the dish washer to dry the dishes. I have a Whirlpool that's 2 years old.

I spent $1,000 on a great German made dishwasher and tried every cycle a few times. Normal takes a forever 21/4 hours and extra dry time is a waste because there still was some water or plastic containers. Great it only uses around 2 gallons of water but with that extra long running time electric power surely cost more then a few gallons of water it saves.

I use sanitize to keep the dishwasher free from mould more than anything it does for the dishes.

I checked "normal" but only because there's no "autoclave and forced air heat dry" setting. I want bone-dry, nearly sterile dishes to come out of that damned thing.

Normal on my highest spec no softener Miele. Things will rust if I run any longer programs.

Auto on my Samsung. Does the job. Normal is like a fixed 3h. Auto starts at 2:29, runs a bit, then adjusts its time from there.

Hand wash No. Really, we hand wash our dishes. We have a 1990’s kitchen aid dishwasher but we don’t use it. We’re so stupid we don’t even use it for storage. We were going to put a wine cooler in its place but we stopped drinking wine. The seals are probably dried out and would leak if we used it.

Stay away from whirlpool.

Quick wash because it uses enough water to actually wash the dishes and takes one hour instead of 3.

@Dylansoawesome

Normal with High heat and sanitize
