new threaded comments test on YouTube, what do we think?

I just wish the threads were collapsible the same way that they're expandable...

I quite like it, makes replay threads actually followable

Finally, Redditors can feel even more at home while they blast the comment section with arguments.

Jux and they also changed the entire icon pack of YouTube. Now they are more rounded, bold and bigger. Moreover they changed some screens. But I guess they need more adjustments with scalling and positioning

The instant regret at opening a comment to learn it's a novel isn't new, really

@dasteee

I've had this a couple of months ago, suddenly disappeared and I thought it got scrapped. Turns out it's back, I love the feature imo.

@Aeduo

I'm glad they brought this back after like 15 years. The final vestiges of google+ are fading.

@RiteshKumarPanda

I like threads we just need better ways to navigate the threads

@Shayaan_A_Kashif

I kinda of like it and it's better because you can just see right there who replied It resolves an issue for me where I see a comment that's a reply to another reply and I have to scroll up to find the original reply

@saucepan300

you should talk about the weird-ass icon redesigns they did recently also

@DiiaBloodyRain

Someone, quick, reply to me! I wanna see it!

Why is everything round everywhere all of the sudden 😅 I blame Apple. Also: not being able to retract a section is a pain, sometime you accidentally open something with hundreds of comments and you are stuck scrolling forever to go past it

@yugimuto1639

they should just make it the same as reddit to be honest if someone replies more than once to a comment and you reply to their second comment it stacks on the first one so it now screws even more with the flow of some conversations than only having the @s

@snibo1024

It’s a bit janky and I'd like to be able to collapse threads but I have noticed that new features are always like that but get better over time

@unknown_-ed2rs

Same. The previous ui made conversations impossible to follow

@maxpoulin64

Had it a month ago on YouTube labs, I like it and very much miss it. Makes reading comments a lot easier on videos with long conversations, makes it much easier to keep track of who replied to who, especially since YouTube doesn't exactly sort subcomments by time order, so sometimes you read the reply before the comment it's replying to...

@chepulis

Much better than random comment piles.
