Personally I don't use Octane, yet the more I watch the series the more I like the concept of flexible asset management tools and assembly in some standalone environment. I wonder if it can be done with different render engine. Chaos have something vaguely similar in the form of their Vantage, yet it is rather limited and it seems like they took a little bit different direction in general.

Right now, I really love Karma in H21, so much better than 20.5 and using asset reference for big sims in USD. Would love to see bigger sims and moving geo variant, stored transforms, ect, in your systems, perhaps a video about it Thanks for some great videos

Have your layout/animatic workflow changed when switching to Octane standalone for assembly?

Hey guys,
I hope you’ve had a chance to check out the recent Assembly Pipeline series - if not, I really recommend giving it a watch. Ever since I tried Clarisse, switching back to traditional workflows felt impossible - it’s like moving from After Effects to Fusion or Nuke… once you experience that level of control, there’s no going back.
Now, with Octane Standalone, I’m feeling that same thing all over again. Once you deliver something with it, everything else just feels limiting.
Next up, I’ll make something and record A to Z build walkthrough, something much more practical rather than theoretical.
Meanwhile - are you planning to try the tools yourself and build a scene with this pipeline?
