Sabbath Lesson: The Hidden Meaning of the Fig Tree in Scripture ‪@AIBIBLEMOVIES‬
Shabbat Shalom, family. The fig tree is mentioned throughout scripture, but many do not understand its deeper meaning. It is not just a tree—it is a symbol of Israel, spiritual fruitfulness, judgment, and the coming of the Kingdom. Yahawah uses the fig tree to reveal hidden truths about the state of His people and the signs of the times.

📖 Jeremiah 24:5 – “Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah.”

🕊️ The fig tree represents the spiritual condition of Israel—either fruitful or corrupt.

1. The Fig Tree as a Symbol of Israel
📖 Hosea 9:10 – “I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the fig tree at her first time.”

Yahawah likens Israel to a fig tree, showing that they were supposed to bear good fruit.
A healthy fig tree provides nourishment, just as Israel was meant to bring righteousness to the nations.
However, when Israel turned to sin, the fig tree withered, symbolizing their spiritual decline.
📖 Joel 1:7 – “He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.”

🕊️ When Israel disobeys, Yahawah removes their fruitfulness, leaving them barren.

2. Yahawashi and the Cursed Fig Tree
📖 Mark 11:12-14, 20 – “And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter forever. And his disciples heard it… And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.”

Why did Yahawashi curse the fig tree?
The tree had leaves but no fruit—a symbol of Israel appearing righteous outwardly but producing no good works.
This was a warning to Israel—without true repentance and righteousness, judgment would come, and they would wither away.
📖 Matthew 7:19 – “Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”

🕊️ Yahawah does not accept empty appearances—He requires true spiritual fruit.

3. The Parable of the Barren Fig Tree
📖 Luke 13:6-9 – “He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.”

This parable shows Yahawah’s mercy and patience toward Israel.
The tree (Israel) was not producing fruit, but instead of immediately cutting it down, Yahawah allowed time for repentance.
However, if the tree remained barren, it would be destroyed.
📖 Ecclesiasticus (Sirach) 10:19 – “They that fear the Lord are a sure seed, and they that love him an honourable plant.”

🕊️ If we do not bear righteous fruit, we risk being removed from the vineyard.

4. The Fig Tree as a Sign of the End Times
📖 Matthew 24:32-33 – “Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”

The fig tree represents prophetic signs leading up to Yahawashi’s return.
Just as a fig tree’s budding signals the change of seasons, the signs in the world signal that judgment is near.
The awakening of Israel is one of the signs that the Kingdom is at hand.
📖 Isaiah 34:4 – “And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.”

🕊️ The fall of the wicked is compared to figs dropping from the tree—sudden and unstoppable.

5. Are We Producing Good Fruit or Withering Away?
📖 John 15:5-6 – “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered.”

A healthy fig tree produces fruit that nourishes others.
If we abide in Yahawashi and keep Yahawah’s commandments, we bear good fruit.
If we fall into sin and rebellion, we wither and are cast away.
📖 Psalm 1:3 – “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season.”

🕊️ The righteous will always bear fruit in due season if they remain in Yahawah.

Final Reflection: What Kind of Tree Are We?
📖 Galatians 5:22-23 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

🕊️ Challenge for the Nation:
This week, reflect on your spiritual fruit:
✔ Are you producing righteousness, or just leaves with no substance?
✔ Are you seeing the signs of the times and preparing for the Kingdom?
✔ Are you rooted in Yahawah, or are you withering away?
