Food is processed by the body in three parts -
1. the gross (excreted),
2. the subtle (7 fundamental tissues -
• Rasa (plasma),
• Rakta (blood),
• Mamsa (muscle),
• Meda (fat),
• Asthi (bone),
• Majja (bone marrow),
• Shukra (reproductive tissue)
3. Most subtle - the Mann (mind)
Hence eating PURE FOOD i.e. -
- sattvic,
- earned by righteous means
- eaten in the right quantity
- with the right attitude (Yagya Bhaav)
