Siming Lan

Hello gang!❤️ As I grow this channel, I want to make videos that are richer and more diverse in both form and content. Not just the political but also the 'off the beaten path' cultural and travel videos that show you a rare and different side of China. Let me know what you think - it REALY helps! :)

@BHawBai

I encourage you to continue with topics involving intersections between China and other countries/world events. Certainly you could do a good job in videos showcasing different locations in China and Chinese food/culture. You have a very good presentation style/communication style and skills. However, while many people are willing to do travel/culture/food type videos it seems that not many Chinese in China are willing and interested in researching the issues and expressing a thoughtful, reasoned, independent perspective on some of the topics that you have addressed.

I greatly value the manner in which you tackle political controversies on your channel. As someone from the Western world, I recognize the importance of adhering to certain norms when addressing such issues. Your platform provides me with a valuable opportunity to learn and understand these approaches better.

I loved when you interviewed your father and he kind of showed the history of China with his experiences talk with more old persons about their life and see if we can create a mosaic that is the truth of China past and now

I watch your videos because I want to understand what China really is, without the biases of the English speaking world. You’re the one who’s capable of doing that.

Stay out of politics in China. Let the masses determine their course . You can use the rich history , culture ( language, music, art, food, clothing and fashion). The technology advances, infrastructure and business opportunities that are available. Quality of life , the geography and geological landscape. The individuals, and people who are making moves .

It would be great to hear what college students around China have to say about China and the world, and their outlook on the future of the world as a collective society.

I personally enjoy both culture/travel and politics videos. Blending them into one would be such a unique thing for your channel, may take more work though. Your political perpectives are always nuanced and eye opening.

I’m from Yunnnan. Thank your for sharing so many interesting vlogs about China,which is very important for outsiders to know more about China .I was in Vancouver 5 months ago and stayed there for 3 months. During that period, I subscribed and became a follower of your channel . I watched many of your videos to improve my listening skills ,which I found was quite helpful. Now I m back to my hometown,a small city in Yunnan . You have my admiration for being so talented in making these videos!

相较于解读政治,让更多人看到14亿不是一个惊叹的数字,而是一个个鲜活的个人, 如地球其他地方的人一样,吃饭睡觉,或笑或怒, 加油!siming

I love your videos with a rich blend of history, politics and culture but what's more important is showing the true picture of China with it's humanistic policies which benefited the masses of diverse ethnicity. I am a 3rd generation overseas born Chinese. My Granddad came to Malaysia probably during the civil war in China.
