I've had the f5 and currently have the f4. Both great blades however I ended up preferring the f4 as a general purpose belt knife. I tend to gravitate towards smaller blades, but can't go wrong with either!

Here is what REIFF Knife Says About It!
F5 GEN2 Field Survival Knife
Built for Hard Use. Refined for Real Life. Coming Friday, September 26th at 12:00 PM EDT
Meet the F5 GEN2, the latest evolution in our popular F-Series of outdoor survival knives. Designed for serious wilderness survival, bushcraft, and tactical utility, the F5 GEN2 combines next-gen materials with field-proven design to deliver uncompromising performance in comprimised situations.
Whether you're off-grid, on the trail, or preparing for the unexpected, the F5 GEN2 is the do-it-all fixed blade that earns its place on your belt.
Key Features & Benefits
CPM MagnaCut Blade Steel
Crafted from premium CPM MagnaCut, the 5" blade offers exceptional edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness—a rare combination in the world of survival knives. Unlike traditional tool steels that rust easily or dull quickly, MagnaCut gives you long-term performance in any environment, wet or dry.
Flat Saber Grind
The flat saber grind strikes the perfect balance between slicing efficiency and edge durability. Ideal for bushcraft tasks like feather sticking, notching, and carving, while still tough enough for prying or batoning.
Textured, Swappable Handle Scales
Available in G10 or Canvas Micarta, the handle scales are intentionally textured for grip, even in wet or gloved hands. Plus, they’re swappable, giving you the option to customize or replace them easily—something rarely offered on hard-use field knives.
Two Handle Material Options
G10: Rugged, weatherproof, and virtually indestructible
Canvas Micarta: Offers a warm, organic feel with a classic, evolving patina
Full-Tang Construction, 3/16" Thick Spine
With a full-tang build and a 3/16” thick blade, the F5 GEN2 is made to handle real abuse. This isn’t a knife that flinches at hard tasks—it's built to survive, pry, split, dig, and cut without compromise.
90-Degree Spine for Fire Starting & Scraping
The spine is precision-ground to a crisp 90 degrees, perfect for striking ferro rods, scraping bark, or processing tinder—no need for a separate scraper tool.
Three Premium Blade Finish Options
Choose your look and performance with three durable finish options:
Stonewashed: Classic, low-maintenance finish that hides wear
Black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon): Ultra-tough and stealthy with added corrosion resistance
FDE PVD (Flat Dark Earth Physical Vapor Deposition): A rugged, tactical finish with unique aesthetics and excellent durability
